The Allen County Bike and Pedestrian Task Force and Activate Allen County along with several other agencies are handing out activity bags on Saturday, September 26th. You can find them at the West Ohio Community Action Partnership on South Central Avenue. Since this year has been unusual, they want to offer families ideas on how to stay active and have fun together.
Keeping your kids safe while they're out enjoying being a kid is the goal of a local bike rodeo. This Saturday (5/18/19), kids from ages 5 to 12-years-old are invited to the Allen County Bike and Pedestrian Task Force and Activate Allen County's annual "Bike Rodeo". It's a free event that will include bike safety courses, bike and helmet fittings, along with door prizes and refreshments. The child must be accompanied by an adult, wear closed-toe shoes and bring their bike.
The task force discussed many events that will be coming to Allen County in the coming months, that involve cycling or running.
