This Saturday (5/18/19), kids from ages 5 to 12-years-old are invited to the Allen County Bike and Pedestrian Task Force and Activate Allen County's annual "Bike Rodeo". It's a free event that will include bike safety courses, bike and helmet fittings, along with door prizes and refreshments. The child must be accompanied by an adult, wear closed-toe shoes, and bring their bike.

"It's really important they we're keeping our kids safe. We need to protect their heads, we need to make sure they're highly visible, and that they know how to use their bikes properly so they can follow traffic laws, use hand signals, and make sure that they're being safe," said Josh Unterbrink, Activate Allen County.

The first 100 kids will receive a free bike helmet. The rodeo will be held at West Ohio Community Action Partnership located at 540 South Central Avenue from 10 a.m. until noon. There will also be a free food distribution by the West Ohio Food Bank as well.
