LIMA (WLIO) — Coldwater used a big fifth inning to pull away from Lima Central Catholic, securing a 15-3 win in six innings.

The Cavaliers broke things open in the top of the fifth when Karsyn Homan delivered a two-run double, scoring Cadin Obringer and Bryce Couchot to extend the lead.

Lima Central Catholic responded in the bottom half of the inning. Brady Malcolm drove in Nathan Speicher, and Michael Quatman followed with an RBI single to bring the Thunderbirds closer.

Coldwater answered right back in the sixth. Couchot added a run with a sacrifice bunt, and Braxton Taylor later drove in another with an infield single. Taylor finished with a four-hit, five-RBI performance to lead the Cavaliers at the plate.

Coldwater earned the win by run rule, finishing off a 15-3 victory in six innings.
