Lima City Council has approved a tax abatement for the construction of a new John Deere sales, service and repair facility on Commerce Parkway in Perry Township.
“Cost utilities going up. The county has more than one structure, so when you're looking at those utility bills, obviously we have to be able to budget for that. There's a cost factor that goes into maintenance fees and different things, so we have to be prepared to pay those costs. But we are looking at a relatively flat budget that's based on the projected dollars that are going to be coming into the county,” said Cory Noonan, Allen County commissioner.
Allen County Commissioners voted to end their long-standing autopsy agreement with Lucas County and contract with Montgomery County beginning in 2026 to reduce costs.

Novus Foods is looking to move forward with a major expansion at its Delphos facility.
“I love what I do. I've had children come in who needed placed, who were in loopholes between homes,” Bevis said. “So what I do is just bring them in, help them from where they're at, get them strong, send them on their way with their families, or they stay with me.”
Bevis said she was honored to be recognized and that the timing was meaningful, as she had been questioning whether she was making a difference. Allen County Children Services assured her that she is indeed making an impact on the lives of the children in her care.
