An accident occurred on Dutch Hollow Road at Greenlawn Cemetery when a vehicle lost control while traveling south.
The fire started in the garage and did smoke damage to the rest of the house. The cause is still under investigation.

A woman was transported to the hospital after a crash involving her car and two semis on US 30 Wednesday morning. The crash happened around 10:30 a.m. in the westbound lane of 30 and Leatherwood Road. According to the American Township Fire Department, a woman was taken to St. Rita's with non-life-threatening injuries. The two semi-truck drivers were uninjured.

Firefighters from the Lima Fire Department rushed to a residential house fire in the 900 block of Richie Avenue at around 1:45 Tuesday afternoon. Upon arrival, fire crews encountered heavy fire and smoke venting from the house and subsequently raised a second alarm with a mutual aid response from American Township. Firefighters went inside the house and quickly controlled the fire, but unfortunately, they did find two pets deceased from the blaze. There were not any injuries to the residents nor any firefighters on the scene, but Lima Battalion Chief Brad Miller says the extreme heat makes battling these fires more challenging.

A second alarm was called for an apartment fire on Lima's north side last night. The Lima Fire Department responded to 800 North Elizabeth Street just before 11 p.m. Thursday. Heavy smoke was showing on arrival and a line was laid to Apartment 117. American Township was called for mutual aid. The scene was cleared just after 1 a.m.
