September 27, 2024, Press Release from the Southern District of Ohio United States Marshals Service: WASHINGTON – The U.S. Marshals Service arrested 3,421 violent fugitives, including 216 for homicide, 803 for assault and 482 for weapons offenses, during the latest phase of its high impact fugitive apprehension initiative called Operation North Star FY 2024 (ONS FY24). ONS 24 enforcement activities covered 74 operational days, from May 10 to September 13, and targeted fugitives and violent offenders in 10 metropolitan areas, prioritizing those who used firearms in the commission of crimes or signaled high-risk factors for violence. ONS FY24 resulted in the arrest of fugitives on charges to include homicide, forcible sexual assault, robbery, aggravated assault, and firearms violations. During the operation, investigators also seized 534 firearms, more than $508.000 in U.S. currency, and 456 kilograms of illegal narcotics. In the Dayton area, ONS FY24 investigators arrested 187 fugitives, including six for homicide, four for forcible sexual assault, 12 for robbery, 36 for aggravated assault and 25 for firearms violations. Local investigators seized four firearms, more than $5,000.00 in U.S. currency, and almost half a kilogram of illegal narcotics. The other 10 metropolitan areas selected for ONS FY24 were identified using data from the National Crime Information Center and the FBI Uniform Crime Report, as well as DOJ priorities, and included Dallas, Texas; North Charleston, South Carolina; Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Little Rock, Arkansas; Phoenix, Arizona; St. Louis, Missouri (to include East St. Louis, Illinois); Birmingham, Alabama; Winston-Salem, North Carolina; and San Antonio, Texas.
A Lima man accused of forcing his way into a home in 2022 and assaulting its residents was arraigned Monday. 32-year-old Leroy "Knowledge" Page pleaded not guilty to 8 total felony charges on counts of felonious assault, kidnapping, improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle, having weapons under disability, and failure to comply. Page was captured by the FBI in Las Vegas on July 1.
September 5, 2024, Press Release from the Delphos Police Department: On 8-25-2024 officers responded to a residence in the 400 block of E. 8th St, for an unknown disturbance. Officers arrived and met with a male and female at the residence who stated that they were having a verbal disagreement but nothing physical occurred. On 8-25-2025 officers were advised of an assault that took place in the 300 block of N. Main St. The victim stated that he was at an establishment when three other males arrived. One of the males started an altercation with the victim and then began assaulting him. The incident remains under investigation.
A Lima man with a warrant for crimes committed in 2022 was arrested in Las Vegas Wednesday night. Leroy "Knowledge" Page was arrested and taken into custody by FBI agents. Page is wanted for a home invasion that took place in October of 2022, where he forced entry into a residence on Fraunfelter Road. He proceeded to assault the homeowners, resulting in serious injuries. Page then forced the residents to drive him to another location, where he then fled. The case was presented to the Allen County grand jury in January of 2023.
42-year-old Dewayne Carter Jr. was indicted by an Allen Co. Grand Jury on 4 charges connected to a January 12, 2024 shooting in Lima.
A McComb man was arrested after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend at a Findlay hotel early Wednesday morning. 31-year-old Jamie Hoverman is facing six charges, including kidnapping, strangulation, and resisting arrest. Findlay police were called out to the TownePlace Suites just after 3:30 a.m. Wednesday morning for reports of a woman getting strangled by her boyfriend in their room. When they arrived, Hoverman was gone, and the woman stated to the police that Hoverman was drunk and strangled her to the point of unconsciousness several times throughout the evening.

A Tennessee man was arrested after a 3-hour standoff with law enforcement Tuesday night. 32-year-old Demarcus Williams is in the Allen County Jail facing a domestic violence charge and warrants for multiple charges out of Tennessee. Around 5 p.m. Tuesday night, detectives say a female victim went to the Lima Police Department to report that her live-in boyfriend, Williams, allegedly assaulted her in their apartment. Police went there to talk to him, and he barricaded himself inside. Police learned that he is facing burglary, robbery, assault, and drug charges around Memphis.

52-year-old Darrell Bivens was indicted by the Allen County Grand Jury on the charges of aggravated arson and felonious assault. The incident happened around October 21st, 2022, and according to Lima police, Bivens was arrested after he allegedly poured lighter fluid on his partner and lit the person on fire following a domestic dispute.
