A Lima man accused of forcing his way into a home in 2022 and assaulting its residents was arraigned Monday.

32-year-old Leroy "Knowledge" Page pleaded not guilty to 8 total felony charges. Date: September 9, 2024.

32-year-old Leroy "Knowledge" Page pleaded not guilty to 8 total felony charges on counts of felonious assault, kidnapping, improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle, having weapons under disability, and failure to comply. 

Page was captured by the FBI in Las Vegas on July 1.

Page repeatedly insisted he did not want his public defenders representing him, even after the magistrate explained they were legally appointed.

On October 30th, 2022, Page allegedly forced his way into a home fleeing from police and assaulted its residents for about two hours, then forced them to drive him to another location. 

During the proceedings, the magistrate ordered him thrown out of court for causing a disruption, despite multiple warnings. Page repeatedly insisted he did not want his public defenders representing him, even after the magistrate explained they were legally appointed and could be replaced after the hearing.

During the proceedings, the magistrate ordered him thrown out of court for causing a disruption, despite multiple warnings.

"As of right now, I am telling you that I do not have an oral agreement or a written signature agreement contract with them. I don't know these people; I've never seen these people; I've never talked to these people. So, I do not want these people speaking for me. I will speak for myself on my behalf," stated Leroy Page, defendant.

Page's next pretrial date is set for October 17, 2024.
