He could have quit, but instead, he persevered and is sharing his story with others. He is known as "Jimmy Fadez," a master barber from Columbus, and he was at Apollo Career Center speaking with their spa and cosmetology students. In 2022, Fadez was doing a weighted squat when his spine snapped. He was left paralyzed and confined to a wheelchair. But that didn't stop him.

The "Forged in Fire" cast is here for a "Grudge Match" to support the Warrior's Way. It's a local non-profit that uses recreational therapy to help veterans and first responders who may be dealing with the effects of post-traumatic shock. The bladesmiths say the process of forging can be therapeutic as you manipulate the raw steel into a working blade.

The organizers of the annual Charity Car Show handed out checks to seven organizations from the proceeds from their June event. A rainy day kept a lot of the cars away during the car show, but thanks to the sponsors, they were able to give away around $6,000. The Charity Car Show has been going on for 17 years and the committee sits down each year to decide which of the charities they will donate to that benefit a variety of aspects of the community.

Doctors from Mercy Health-St. Rita's states that sunscreen is very important for those planning to be in plain sight of the sun's rays. Too much exposure can cause damage to your skin that could go beyond just a sunburn. Applying sunscreen before you go out is important, but being prepared and planning ahead can save you from a painful experience.

Dermatologists say sunburn can cause skin cancer and some people are at higher risk than others. To avoid it, check the UV index before heading outside and avoid being out when the sun is at its hottest between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Wear sun-protective clothing, a hat, and good sunscreen. A broad-spectrum sunscreen of 30 SPF or higher is recommended. And be sure to apply enough – one ounce is needed to cover the entire body.
