LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — With spring in full swing, garage sale season is kicking off — and the Bradfield Community Center is getting in on the action.
The group, led by trained facilitators, offers participants the opportunity to share experiences, discuss challenges, and explore potential solutions with others who understand their struggles. Organizers say the meetings have been beneficial for many caregivers.
The Boys and Girls Club of America's mission statement is to inspire all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive and responsible citizens. On Thursday, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Northeast Indiana opened its new site in Lima at Bradfield Center. City and state officials, along with representatives from both organizations, spoke about the big impact the partnership will have on local young people. Bradfield officials hope the partnership with "The Boys and Girls Club" will provide even more resources and curriculum for Lima's children.
People in Lima came out to the Bradfield Center to enjoy some family fun before the school year starts.
The health partners teamed up with the Bradfield Center to offer testing starting June 1st. To get tested, you first have to set up a telehealth appointment where they will then give you an appointment for the test. Anyone is able to get tested for COVID, even those who haven’t shown symptoms. And, the test is not as unpleasant as you may have seen past COVID testing done.
This afternoon Lima-area kids got to celebrate Easter a little early.
Dozens of kids came out to the spring into spring break event at the Bradfield Center today. Throughout the afternoon kids painted Easter eggs pictures, participated in a potato sack relay race and went on an Easter egg hunt.
One of the many programs that Bradfield holds is a summer-long program for students grades first through sixth.
