An annual tradition of making sure everyone has a warm holiday meal. The West Ohio Food Bank is continuing its holiday tradition of offering free, take-home dinners on Christmas Eve. Volunteers and staff will pass out the meals drive-thru style, just like their monthly food distributions. Cars with families can line up in their back lot and receive one meal for each family member.

Fresh-n-Faded and Team Outreach Lima made the season merry and bright for some seniors. The 2nd annual Christmas at Lochhaven party was held Thursday afternoon. First in the morning, Team Outreach and Santa brought presents to the residents at Lochhaven-- then in the afternoon they played their annual Bingo game. There were Christmas cookies passed around, gift bags and baskets were passed out, and Christmas music was played by the DJ. For Team Outreach and Fresh-n-Faded, this partnership has done what it set out to do since it was created, and that is make an impact in the community that shaped them.

A Putnam County church recently returned from western North Carolina to make sure children affected by Hurricane Helene can have a merry Christmas. Saint Mary Catholic Church in Leipsic recently delivered around $100,000 worth of toys as Christmas gifts to the Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministry Christmas Angel Program in Arden, North Carolina. The Leipsic church made it their mission to bring Christmas joy to North Carolina as their holiday service project after hearing the Christmas Angel Program would assist over 2,500 children this year.

Students at Freedom Elementary got a big surprise today thanks to the Lima Exchange Club. For more than 20 years, even before Freedom Elementary was built, the club has given Christmas presents to the young students in the Lima school district. Santa and his helpers brought the kids books, treats, and toys, but also clothing items like hats, gloves, socks, and even a fleece blanket.
