Mohammed Ahmad, 38, of Avon, Ohio, has pleaded guilty to submitting orders for patients in connection with a durable medical equipment (DME) scheme that caused Medicare to be unnecessarily billed for thousands of dollars.

In indictments filed this week by the office of Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost, nine Medicaid providers are accused of stealing a combined $1.2 million from the government health-care program for the needy.
