This is the third year the organization has given gifts for kids and food for the family during the Christmas Season. Thanks to students, businesses, and individuals stepping up with money and donations, the Christmas Jubilee committee is giving gifts, food, or both to the families that need a little help this holiday season.

Fresh-n-Faded and Team Outreach Lima made the season merry and bright for some seniors. The 2nd annual Christmas at Lochhaven party was held Thursday afternoon. First in the morning, Team Outreach and Santa brought presents to the residents at Lochhaven-- then in the afternoon they played their annual Bingo game. There were Christmas cookies passed around, gift bags and baskets were passed out, and Christmas music was played by the DJ. For Team Outreach and Fresh-n-Faded, this partnership has done what it set out to do since it was created, and that is make an impact in the community that shaped them.

A Putnam County church recently returned from western North Carolina to make sure children affected by Hurricane Helene can have a merry Christmas. Saint Mary Catholic Church in Leipsic recently delivered around $100,000 worth of toys as Christmas gifts to the Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministry Christmas Angel Program in Arden, North Carolina. The Leipsic church made it their mission to bring Christmas joy to North Carolina as their holiday service project after hearing the Christmas Angel Program would assist over 2,500 children this year.

December 17, 2024, Press Release from the Black Heritage Library & Multicultural Center: The Black Heritage Library & Multicultural Center, 817 Harmon St. Findlay, OH, will host a community Kwanzaa celebration at 2 p.m. Saturday. Individuals and families are invited for conversations, performances, and arts and crafts celebrating the principles of Kwanzaa. Elizabeth Washington, retired educator, will be speaking about the history, impact, and significance of this holiday.

The Area Agency on Aging spread holiday cheer today. The Elderly Day Care Center held a Christmas party event for the seniors along with the music therapy program at the Allen-Oakwood Correctional Institution. The members of the music therapy program joined the party via Zoom chat and sang popular holiday songs and carols to get in the spirit of Christmas. The seniors were also presented gifts such as blankets and mittens or hats.
