Several residents have reported receiving phone calls claiming they failed to appear for jury duty and that if they do not take immediate action, they will be arrested. According to Allen County Sheriff Matt Treglia, these calls are fraudulent.
Area high school juniors and seniors participated in the event, which included tours of the Lima Police Department and Fire Department. Officers and firefighters explained their daily responsibilities, demonstrated equipment used on the job, and shared their personal reasons for choosing careers in law enforcement and firefighting.

The dispatchers at the Allen County Sheriff's Office say that they become one after wanting to pursue a job where they could help their fellow residents.
