The nonprofit made its first investment in 2000, launching what has grown into a $41 million initiative that has provided 245 affordable housing units across the city. One of its notable developments is the Shirley Daley Senior Village, which offers affordable housing for residents age 62 and older.
“We're approaching 1,000 fuel tanks erected as we speak,” said Everett "Butch" Kirk, president of International Tank. “So it's been a great run. We're a family business. I'm third generation. My children are fourth generation and glad to be part of Lima, Ohio.”

Friday, Allen County Commissioners, the Allen Economic Development Group, the Port Authority of Allen County, the county engineer, and the Ohio Department of Transportation representatives met to discuss road infrastructure. It was related to Procter & Gamble's $500,000,000 expansion of a new scent bead plant. The Allen Economic Development Group and others have worked to obtain federal and grant dollars to fund a portion of a roundabout on Thayer Road for Procter & Gamble's truck entrance.
