A jury has been seated in the trial of a Lima man facing murder charges.
A Mount Victory man has been indicted on multiple charges, including aggravated murder, in connection with the fatal stabbing of James Collins in early October.
Marcus Tyson, 45, was indicted by an Allen County Grand Jury on charges of murder, felonious assault, and tampering with evidence for the murder of Anthony Townsend on April 18.
Marcus Tyson, 45, is being held on a $1 million bond for the murder of Anthony Townsend on April 18. He had a probable cause hearing Wednesday in Lima Municipal Court.
Authorities identified the victim as Dion Florence, 53, of Lima, who was found dead with multiple stab wounds.
Officials from the sheriff’s office said that at 4:14 a.m., deputies were called to the 1500 block of Edgewood Drive for a male who was down in a yard. They found the man dead with multiple stab wounds.
A woman is now dead after being stabbed Wednesday morning in Lima. The Lima Police Department says officers were on the scene at 908 East Kibby Street just after 10:30 a.m. There they found the body of 71-year-old Rachel Cheney in a bedroom. The cause of death was a stab wound to her upper torso.
