KENTON, Ohio (WLIO) – A Mount Victory man has been indicted on murder charges for an October incident that left one man dead from stab wounds.

Andrew McCafferty, 46, was charged by a Hardin County grand jury with aggravated murder, involuntary manslaughter, tampering with evidence, and other charges connected to the Oct. 1 incident that resulted in the death of James Collins, 48, of Mount Victory.

The Hardin County sheriff said Collins died from multiple stab wounds sustained during an incident in the village. Deputies found him wounded in the street, and he was taken to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

McCafferty is currently being held in the Multi-County Jail.
