All proceeds from the sales go directly back into the community, supporting the organization's outreach and service programs.

“It helps the community so we can be able to do our programs that we do with feeding and our after school programs,” said Captain Charity Bender of the Lima Salvation Army.

Director Jason Asaro says, “They’ll help with any kind of medication we may need for the animals, food of course. All the things we may need to use to basically just run the daily operations. Mainly thigs like that are to help us keep supplies for medical and for the sick and the injured for the most part.”

These cats are just waiting to find that forever home where they will be loved and cared for. There are curious cats, shy cats, adventurous cats, and cats that just sit back and take it all in. Each cage has a card for that furry friend that tells their disposition and when they were brought to the shelter. As a no-kill shelter, they are at capacity with cats and need to get them adopted.

Along the way, people looking for deals can find special areas, where hundreds of vendors are set up. Here locally, we have one of those vendor stops at the Wan Wert County Fairgrounds. Vendors were setting up on Wednesday for a busy weekend, which has become a tradition over the years at the fairgrounds.

Spring cleaning started early for the vendors at Moon City Event Center today for their indoor garage sale. 

Moon City was filled with everything you’d want to find at a garage sale but conveniently out of the way of the wintery weather. Even if garage sales aren’t your thing, Moon City has boutiques and consignment shops in the building year-round along with a music shop as well.

The Allen County Board of Developmental Disabilities is holding a garage sale and they say there's something for everyone. Table after table is filled with a variety of treasures. There's toys, clothing, and furniture along with a whole lot more. All the items were donated by board employees, friends, and families. All of the proceeds will go to the construction of the All Ability Playgrounds of Allen County.
