LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) – The Lima Salvation Army is open for business, welcoming the community to its monthly fundraiser.
Shoppers can find a wide variety of items at the garage and yard sales, held regularly at the local Salvation Army location. From racks of clothing for all ages—including some school uniforms for students—to household goods, shoes, and furniture, everything is priced to sell. All proceeds from the sales go directly back into the community, supporting the organization's outreach and service programs.
“It helps the community so we can be able to do our programs that we do with feeding and our after-school programs,” said Captain Charity Bender of the Lima Salvation Army.
The sale continues Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Looking ahead, September’s sale will take place only on Friday, Sept. 5, as part of the United Way’s annual Day of Caring. On that day, all items will be free.
