The Patrol’s 170th Academy Class graduated today after 32 weeks of intense training. Ohio Governor Mike DeWine; Director Andy Wilson, Ohio Department of Public Safety; and Colonel Charles A. Jones, Patrol Superintendent; provided remarks. Major General John C. Harris Jr., Ohio Adjutant General, delivered the commencement address to the 23 members of the Patrol’s 170th Academy Class. Judge Matthew P. Frericks, Marion County Court of Common Pleas, issued the Oath of Office.

Ohio Northern University Law graduates who sat for the Ohio bar exam in the summer of 2022 collectively earned one of the highest passage rates compared to those from other colleges, at 81 percent. According to Kelly Stevens, ONU bar success coordinator, this cohort placed third, just behind Case Western Reserve University and The Ohio State University.

Perry Commodores welcoming 61 graduating classes to their first ever all Alumni Reunion.  Around 400 Perry graduates and guests from the classes of 1961 to present were on hand for the event.  Each of the classes have held their own personal reunions before, but organizers thought that bringing everyone together would give different classes and generations a chance to reminisce together.  But this could be just the beginning for these type of events.
