Hancock deputies and members of the METRICH Drug Task Force located 42 marijuana plots in the county, containing 289 plants.

A juvenile was arrested following a police chase in Findlay last night. The incident happened just after 11 p.m. Monday night, Hancock County Sheriff's deputies and Findlay Police were chasing a car on the east side of the city. They terminated the chase, but minutes later officers in the area saw the same vehicle driving with its lights off. The officers followed the vehicle into the countryside; the chase went for about 12 miles and lasted 11 minutes. The juvenile eventually stopped the vehicle and was arrested, along with a juvenile passenger.

A Findlay man with knives was shot with bean bag rounds and tased by law enforcement after he crashed his car following a long police chase through Hancock and Wyandot Counties.
On November 30th, deputies responded to 203 E. Perrin Avenue in the village for a death investigation. There they found 44-year-old Sebastian Hernandez dead in the home. Hernandez is a Mexican national that was living in McComb. His body was taken to the Lucas County coroner’s office where the cause of death was determined to be a homicide. A search warrant was issued for the home, and as of now, no suspects have been identified. The investigation is ongoing.
The Hancock County Sheriff's Office identified the victim as 59-year-old Sherry Ziessler. They say she suffered multiple gunshot wounds, at a home located at 16777 Township Road 205, near the Findlay Reservoir. There's no word yet on a motive or a suspect in the case.
Hancock County authorities are treating the discovery of a body at a residence as a suspicious death.
