One resident was taken to the hospital and two dogs were killed after a two-alarm fire broke out Sunday morning at a mobile home in Celina.
The Lima Fire Department responded to a call at 410 Ewing Avenue on Friday, Nov. 28, around 8:30 p.m., reporting a house fire with someone still inside. Three of the four occupants escaped, identified as Anthony and Josephus Petaway and Darby’s 21-month-old child with Josephus.

A man was pulled from a house fire Saturday afternoon in Darke County, but despite efforts of rescue crews, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The fire was reported at about 4:45 pm at 142 Jefferson Street in the Village of New Madison.

Sidney firefighters were called to 520 North Miami Avenue just after 1 a.m. Tuesday morning and found fire coming from the second story and out of the roof of the home.
