ALLEN COUNTY, Ohio (WLIO) - Multiple fire departments responded Monday to a second-alarm house fire just before 3 p.m. at 485 North Sunderland Road.

Residents initially smelled smoke and discovered it pouring from the attic entrance in the garage. Upon arrival, firefighters reported smoke coming from the vents and eaves of the home. Mutual aid was requested from Shawnee and American townships, as well as Cridersville and Buckland, to assist with the fire.

Fire officials say the blaze appears to have been caused by an electrical issue. Damage is estimated at up to $6,000. No injuries were reported among residents or firefighters.
