LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Shawnee continued its dominance in the in-town rivalry Friday night, knocking off Bath 73-60 to extend its winning streak against the Wildcats to 11 straight games.

The Indians set the tone early with an explosive first quarter, jumping out to a 24-9 lead behind strong perimeter shooting and efficient offense. Junior Trevick Bertke sparked the early run with a pair of smooth finishes at the rim, part of his 22-point night.

Bath looked to counter from beyond the arc, as senior Dagan Hawkins knocked down a three-pointer on his way to a team-high 15 points. But Shawnee’s depth proved difficult to slow. Cam Barker converted an easy transition bucket, while Josiah Clark added a triple to keep the pressure on the Wildcats.

Late in the opening quarter, Beckett Bertke buried a three-pointer to cap the surge. The Findlay commit finished with a game-high 25 points, leading all scorers and anchoring the Indians’ offensive rhythm throughout the night.

Shawnee maintained control into the second quarter with steady scoring from Greyson McDonald and continued ball movement that prevented Bath from mounting a sustained comeback. Despite Bath’s recent momentum entering the game, the Indians consistently answered each push.

With the win, Shawnee improved to 8-3 overall and 3-0 in Western Buckeye League play, while Bath dropped to 6-4 on the season.
