CRIDERSVILLE, Ohio (WLIO) - A house fire in Cridersville results in multiple departments being called for mutual aid Thursday afternoon.

Cridersville Volunteer Fire Department responded to 300 West Main Street just before 1:30 this afternoon.

Large amounts of smoke filled the air from the two-story home. Entry was made into the home to make sure no one else was in the house at the time of the fire.

"We were on location within 10 minutes. Observed heavy smoke conditions, it was an attic fire. ELITE drone met us on scene, they were able to zoom in with their thermal drone, guys got in right away," says Austin Miller, Fire Chief of Shawnee Township.
