The truss bridge is scheduled to be closed to traffic between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. The closure is temporary so that the bridge can be inspected. The Allen County Engineer's Office is advising drivers to plan on an alternate route for that time because through traffic will be prohibited.

The Lima Refinery's general manager spoke with Rotarians on Monday afternoon, giving the club members a look at what the refinery has been up to. Your Hometown Stations spoke with the general manager about the situation surrounding local unions being unhappy with Cenovus' decision to hire out-of-state contractors for the turnaround work this fall.

This week and next week, members of Local 624 are voting on the latest proposed bargaining package. The last one offered back in March was voted down. It's been nearly a year and a half since negotiations between the union and husky began. Since their last agreement expired in April 2019 they've been on a 24-hour rolling extension. The president of Local 624 says he's never seen a negotiation go on like this before. And he says the focus has not primarily been on wages.

Community members were invited out to "The Met" to get to know the new face at the helm of one of our area's largest businesses. Husky hosted a meet and greet of their new vice president and general manager of the Lima refinery. Claudio Ingaramo took on the role back in October.

It’s been bringing smiles to the faces of kids for six decades and it continued that tradition Thursday night. 

In a press conference on Tuesday, the NAACP has come forward to say that they have received complaints against many corporations in the Lima area.

Its history in Lima-Allen County dates back to the 1880s and the current owners say they plan to be here for more years to come.
