Holley Toliver, 58, was sentenced in Logan County Common Pleas Court on 22 charges, including felonious assault and firing on police officers for an incident at his home in August 2024.

The suspect in a day-long standoff in Lakeview last month could be facing more charges as the grand jury will be reviewing his case. 57-year-old Holley Tolliver of Lakeview has been charged with improperly discharging a firearm into a house. But the grand jury is set to meet next week, and additional charges could be added.

Massive debris removal operations continue across hard hit Indian Lake following the destructive path left behind last week's tornado. At a press conference on Friday, Logan County EMA Director, Helen Norris, stated that the March 14th Tornado is the largest debris event in Logan County history and exceeds by a factor of ten times the damage produced by the January 2005 Ice Storm. With FEMA arriving to conduct a joint public damage assessment on Tuesday, March 26th, Logan County officials have set up a system for residents to self report damage to assist with this assessment.
Students at Indian Lake Local Schools resumed classes this past Wednesday following the deadly tornado on March 14th. Indian Lake Local Schools were closed that Friday, Monday, and Tuesday after the EF-3 tornado ravaged the Lakeview and Russells Point communities with school officials transforming Indian Lake High School into a community shelter and a focal point for nearby residents to obtain recovery supplies. The rains keep on coming, especially hitting the residents of Logan County hard Wednesday night into Thursday morning. Around seven o'clock Wednesday night, Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine was shut down due to six inches of water in the emergency room lobby. Five critical care patients were transferred to other area hospitals while first responders and hospital workers cleared the water out of the building. The emergency department resumed normal operations at 7 a.m. Thursday morning.
