When the fire department arrived, they saw the fire had consumed the porch and was starting to spread to other parts of the house. Fort Jennings and American Township Fire Departments were called in to assist. The house is considered a total loss. The cause of the fire is considered to be accidental and remains under investigation.
The Wapakoneta Fire Department was called out to 304 E Mechanic Street at around 10:20 a.m. for a report of a fire. According to the fire captain on the scene, the two story house was completely burned and is a total loss. No one was injured in the fire as no one was in the home. The cause of the fire is currently unknown and remains under investigation.
