A home in Wapakoneta is a total loss following a fire on Monday.
The Wapakoneta Fire Department was called out to 304 E Mechanic Street at around 10:20 a.m. for a report of a fire. According to the fire captain on the scene, the two story house was completely burned and is a total loss. No one was injured in the fire as no one was in the home. An update we received states that 3 dogs perished in the fire. There is also 1 missing cat and 1 missing dog. The cause of the fire is currently unknown and remains under investigation.
