The City of Lima's Human Resources Director talked to council members about the upcoming process of selecting Lima's next Chief of Police. At Monday night's Human Resources Committee meeting, it was announced that current Lima Police Chief, James Baker, will plan to retire on July 7th. According to Lima Human Resources Director, Della Bradford, there are two Majors with the Lima Police Department eligible to take the Police Chief promotional exam. If one or both of the Majors decide not to run for Police Chief, the City of Lima will provide Lieutenants the chance to take the exam. Following Monday night's committee meeting, we talked with Bradford about the next steps of this process.
Ohio State Lima hosting area students and their parents at an open house to answer all their questions about attending the Lima campus and more. There are 13 majors that can be completed here in Lima and students can start any of the 200-plus majors offered in Columbus at the Lima campus. They hope these sessions bring in more Buckeyes.

For Lima resident Janya Henderson, that decision is an easy one. Henderson was just sixteen when she started her own photography business. She says the passion to pick up the camera comes from her uncle.
Over 150 students walked in the 2022 commencement ceremony. The graduates spent the last two years of their college career dealing with the ever-changing situation with the pandemic.
