The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office has suspended its full-scale search for 89-year-old Roger Stachler of St. Henry.
51-year-old Glen Sharrock was arrested Tuesday morning and is being held on five counts of Pandering Child Pornography. Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey says that his department was alerted to Sharrock by the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children. Mercer County investigators opened an investigation, and they found several sexually explicit photos of juveniles linked to his accounts. The case is being reviewed by the county’s prosecutor for additional charges. Sharrock was convicted in 2009 of Possession of Child Pornography in Indiana, and his sex offender classification ended in 2019.
36-year-old Adam Steinbrunner of Fort Recovery was pulled over by deputies for not staying between the lines Wednesday afternoon. The K-9 unit was called in and found a container with a hidden compartment that held six grams of meth and a pipe. Steinbrunner was arrested and charged with possession of drugs. Bond was set at $50,000. The hit detail made 14 traffic stops and two other people were arrested on outstanding warrants and six citations were issued.
Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey reports that his Office has completed two out-of-state extraditions in the last week. On Monday, February 10, 2020, two Deputies from the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office flew out of the Fort Wayne International Airport to the Albany International Airport in New York. Early on the morning of February 11, 2020, Daniel R. Morris, 22 years of age, was turned over to the Mercer County Sheriff’s Deputies and was flown back to Ohio.
Waters continued to rise even after overnight rain stopped in Mercer and Auglaize counties. As the day progressed on Friday, things got worse for both counties, all thanks to overnight rain that caused flooding. An official at the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office said on Friday morning you could say more roads were closed than open. By noon a major roadway was blocked off, route 127, heading south out of Celina.
A Celina domestic violence suspect who has been on the run January has been captured. According to the Celina Police chief tom wale, 43-year-old Mitchell Mullins was captured on Southworth Road outside of Landeck late Monday afternoon. The police department was notified Monday that Mullins was with an individual, a detective located the vehicle that they were in and followed them.
