Edwards earlier this month entered a plea of guilty to the charges of involuntary manslaughter, aggravated possession of drugs, and endangering children. In February 2020, 2-year-old Ezra Siegrist died at a Montezuma home. The autopsy done by the Montgomery County Coroner's Office says that the boy died as a result of "methamphetamine intoxication" and "blunt force trauma to the head". Edwards was in a relationship with his mother at the time of his death.

This month is Seatbelt Safety and Enforcement Month and multiple organizations in Allen County, such as the Regional Planning Commission, will be working together to ensure drivers stay safe as the holiday season inches closer and closer. It’s the 35th year for celebrating developmental disabilities and much progress has been made over the years. This year’s theme is “We’re Here.” Individuals with disabilities are part of everyday life and they want to be seen as that. Many are being independent, finding jobs and leading productive lives. Anthony Simpson is a sub-secretary at the Allen County Board of Developmental Disabilities and encourages anyone with a disability to not shy away from getting a job.
