It may be looking more like Saint Patrick’s Day as you will be seeing a lot of green this week.
The Mental Health and Recovery Services Board of Allen, Auglaize and Hardin Counties is encouraging everyone to wear green in support of Mental Health Awareness Month. Mental Health officials want people to know these are unprecedented times, that many people are suffering, grieving, and have experienced loss at a level we have never seen.
Executive Director of the Mental Health and Recovery Board, Tammie Colon explains, “We want to show through our green, and our support and our campaign that we just need to support one another, encourage one another. We all need to have a fundamental understanding of what to look for, what next step to take if you have concerns about anybody else. So, that’s the whole purpose in May as Mental Month.”
To show your support for mental health they are asking that you post a photo of you, a group, and even a classroom wearing green on the “Seen in Green” Facebook page now through Sunday, May 15th.
