As our country begins to experience a shortage in physicians, Saint Rita’s is working toward building a healthcare force right in their own backyard. They have partnered with the Ohio State Lima campus and are giving med students a chance to experience the human anatomy face-to-face.

In this age of mobile technology and having the world at your fingertips, the current college student's experience is very different than even just 15 years ago. While that new technology can be helpful, it could also affect students in a negative way - and make it harder for their instructors to keep them interested.

It was a full house at Ohio State Lima campus on Monday morning as students and their parents learned all about the campus. This was the 1st fall open house to present information about academics, extracurricular and financial aid to families. Students can take any of the twelve four-year bachelor programs at the campus or start one of the 200-plus majors in Columbus they can transition into. The Lima campus averages around 1,000 students a year getting a top-notch education starting with these open houses.

Students at Ohio State Lima Campus got some useful financial knowledge in a seminar on Thursday. The Office of Student Financial Aid brought Michael Jones of Citizen Bank out to teach some students about financial literacy. Jones focused on teaching students about credit, how to build it up, and what things will affect it. Jones says this is a great opportunity for students as they can get off to a good start building credit in college.

"Giving back" was the catchphrase at a local campus on Thursday as students try to find a perfect fit for them. Rhodes State College and the Ohio State Lima Campus working together to promote community involvement. Thursday was their annual We Serve Volunteer Fair. Local charities and organizations were on hand to explain to students, faculty, and staff what they're all about in hopes of getting volunteers.

Ohio State Lima Campus welcomed a full house of young ladies on Monday to begin introducing them to different career fields. The fifth annual STEM Steps program hosted 125 sophomore and junior girls from the surrounding area high schools. The program introduces or further expand their knowledge of the science technology engineering and mathematics careers.
