Rhodes State College and the Ohio State Lima Campus working together to promote community involvement. Thursday was their annual We Serve volunteer fair. Local charities and organizations were on hand to explain to students, faculty, and staff what they're all about in hopes of getting volunteers.

"We really want to establish ourselves here that we're apart of the Lima Allen County community and so we want to make sure that both schools are giving back because this county and town has given us so much," explained Shane McCrory, Director of Student Life at OSU Lima.

"This is a partnership. We are raising these students together and so what we're trying to do is get them out here, start connecting, find ways that they can give back because often times they want to do it, they just don't know how to," said Nicole Buccalo, Director of Student Engagement at Rhodes State College.

Students also wrote notes of encouragement for local elementary students as they start their school year.
