DAYTON, Ohio (WLIO) — Cameron Elwer closed out his high school career in memorable fashion, earning K&M Contracting Play of the Week honors following his standout performance in the Division VII state championship.

In the second half of the title game, Elwer delivered one of the biggest moments of the night, converting a key bucket through contact to help keep momentum on the Blue Jays’ side.

The Furman commit went on to score a game-high 28 points, leading the Delphos St. John’s Blue Jays to a 56-47 win over the Kalida Wildcats at UD Arena.

With the victory, Delphos St. John’s capped off a perfect 29-0 season and secured its first state championship since 2002.

For Elwer, the performance marked a fitting end to his career, finishing on top while delivering one final standout moment on the state’s biggest stage.
