Officers are investigating the theft of a 1987 Buick Regal Grand National that was taken from Ottawa Chevy Sunday night. The license plate number on the car at the time of the theft is HOD8265. The vehicle’s hood could have damage that may have occurred during the theft. We're getting more information on arrests made yesterday(12/8/19) in Putnam County in a 'funny money' case. The Ottawa Police Department says around 2:30 Sunday afternoon, officers were called out to the "Party Mart" on North Perry Street for two men trying to use fake bills. When police got there, they say one of the men, Paul Bakle of Grover Hill, ran away but was caught on Maple Street and was taken to Mercy Health Putnam Medical Center for evaluation and to the adult detention facility pending criminal charges.

According to the police department, an alarm sounded at Tucker's Pharmacy around 1:15 a.m. Officers arrived to find the back door to the business open. After walking around inside, police say they found evidence of a breaking and entering. The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations was called in to process the scene.
