It was a rocky start for airlines across the country after the FAA ordered all flights to be grounded. The ground stop was eventually lifted by 9 a.m. Wednesday, however, the delays and cancellations continued to snowball. The issue stemmed from an outage with Notice to Air Missions, or NOTAM. This is an essential resource when scheduling flights. We spoke with the assistant manager at the Allen County Airport to learn more about the software that went down.

Old Man Winter is getting ready to unleash his fury on Ohio as dangerously cold temperatures combine with high winds and snow. With high winds into the weekend, power outages could become a reality which poses a danger with the bitter temperatures. Our Nathan Kitchens spoke with Allen County's EMA director on how we should prepare.

Several power poles were downed on Route 116 between Spencerville and Elgin, in Van Wert County. Farther to the north, the leading edge of the storms flipping over a semi on Route 30 by mile marker two outside of Delphos. The driver wasn't hurt but it took a couple of hours to pull the fully loaded truck from the median. There were also reports of scattered power outages throughout the region.
