An update on the storms that passed through our area earlier this evening.
We saw severe thunderstorm warnings in multiple counties, and in Putnam and Hancock Counties there were tornado warnings. Weather spotters confirmed heavy rain and some hail, as well as high winds.
Several power poles were downed on State Route 116 between Spencerville and Elgin in Van Wert County. Farther to the north, the leading edge of the storms flipping over a semi on Route 30 by mile marker two outside of Delphos. The driver wasn't hurt but it took a couple of hours to pull the fully loaded truck from the median. There were also reports of scattered power outages throughout the region.
