On Monday, the Ohio Tax Credit Authority approved a tax break for the $501 million expansion project. The Lima plant will be the only P&G plant in the world to produce their Gain and Downey Unstoppable Laundry Scent Beads. Currently, those products are being made by contract manufacturers. The sales of that product line have grown exponentially since it launched 11 years ago. If the project gets its final approvals, P&G will be building a new plant between the current Lima Plant and the distribution center.
The Lima Community Medical Freedom group held a protest/rally outside of P&G Saturday morning. Organizers for the protest state that P&G employees were told via email that they had to register their vaccination status, while another email sent afterward stated that they had to either get the COVID-19 Vaccine or get tested weekly to continue working.
A Lima man has returned home after spending over three months in the hospital with a bad case of COVID-19. He says the power of prayer helped him back up on his feet.
