20-year-old Emin Johnson will have a preliminary hearing Friday in Findlay Municipal Court, he is facing the charges of involuntary manslaughter, failure to comply with a signal officer, and receiving stolen property. 21-year-old Zachary Love will also have a hearing in Findlay Municipal Court on Friday. He is charged with having weapons under disability and receiving stolen property.
Demarco Morris was arrested after police found 25-year-old Davion Latson with a gunshot wound to the abdomen on September 5th. Morris was then held on suspicion of murder at the Allen County Jail. Morris is facing a single charge of Murder. During the preliminary hearing, the state called Lima Police Detective Steve Stechschulte to the witness stand in order to share details that he learned during his investigation.
18-Year-Old Jourdyn Rawlins was arrested by Lima Police back in May of this year on a rape charge. Thursday marked his first appearance in court, however, his hearing was continued Friday morning as the state was not able to secure the appearance of an individual to testify. Judge Richard Warren on Thursday did lower Rawlin's cash bond from $750,000 to $100,000 and removed the stipulation for an ankle monitor.

Thursday marked his first appearance in court, as a preliminary hearing was held in Lima Municipal Court. The hearing will be continued Friday morning as the state was not able to secure the appearance of an individual to testify.
Stayce Riley was taken into custody after Lima Police found her daughter, Ma'Laya Dewitt, unresponsive on April 13th. Dewitt was later pronounced deceased at an area hospital. Riley submitted a waiver for a hearing in Lima Municipal Court. Her case is now bound to the Allen County Grand Jury. The judge presiding over the preliminary hearing ordered that her bond of $200,000 cash surety remain.
The Lima Police Department responded to a call of an unresponsive four-year-old at 535 North Elizabeth Street on April 13th, 2021 at 2:08 P.M. The child was transported from the scene to a local area hospital, where lifesaving measures were attempted but were unsuccessful. The child was then pronounced deceased. The child was identified as Ma'laya Dewitt. One suspect was then arrested. Romiere Hale, 21-years-old of Lima, is being held at the Allen County Jail. Hale was a member of the household and is the boyfriend of Dewitt's mother.
The case against a Lima teen accused of murdering a man during a robbery is heading to common pleas court.
