A Lima Police Officer testified about Wilson’s possible gang affiliation. Following Christian Laws death on June 14, 2019 LPD suspected more shootings to follow. Wilson also saw a co-defendant testify against him on Tuesday. Maria Elena-Williams was charged in the alleged crime, but after pleading the Fifth Amendment, the state gave her immunity and her case was dismissed, allowing her to testify without prosecution.
Although former Allen County Sheriff Sam Crish is serving time in a federal prison, he still faces another civil lawsuit. A couple motions of the case were debated in court today. Ray Magnus was awarded $102,000 as part of the more than $600,000 Crish has to pay back from his federal case. But there is no timetable when that will be paid back. Magnus and attorneys said they have a claim to the $85,000 "Furtherance of Justice Fund" that Crish used while in office. That fund is a bond which Auto Owners Insurance said Magnus has no claim to.Â

He took a plea deal and pleaded guilty to two counts of extortion, two counts of bribery, and one count of making a false statement. He was also sentenced to pay back $606,000 in restitution. Crish is eligible for early release, but not until serving 85% of his sentence.

According to his attorney, Sam Crish is scheduled to report on Nov. 18 to the Federal Correctional Institution in Welch, WV. That's a medium security prison with more than 16-hundred inmates.
