A former Allen County Sheriff's case in Northern Ohio Federal Court has been pushed back.

According to court documents, federal court Judge James Carr has granted the prosecution's request to delay the case against Sam Crish for a couple of months.  The lead prosecutor handling the case has moved to a Michigan federal court, and the u-s attorneys office wants more time to review the case against Crish before they move forward.  In June of 2018, the U.S. Attorney's Office and the FBI announced a 6 count indictment against Crish that alleged he asked for and took bribes from drug dealers, made promises to people arrested in prostitution stings if they gave him money, and that he lied to the FBi.  Before the indictment, Crish admitted that he had a gambling addiction.  If convicted on all counts, he could be facing a maximum of 75 years in prison.  Crish is currently out on bond as his case continues to move forward.
