The Area Agency on Aging 3 launched its first-ever garage sale fundraiser to support Elder Justice Programs that assist seniors with unmet emergency needs.
The sale continues Friday and Saturday at 9 a.m. and features donated items ranging from household goods and décor to bikes and toys.

The Silver Birch Foundation is hosting its annual dinner and auction Thursday night to raise funds and continue its mission.

Jason Risner, executive director of Primrose, said the expo helps residents “age in place” by connecting them with care partners and resources. “Sometimes in order for that to happen, we have to get some care partners involved, and education and knowing about what’s available is so important to make that happen,” Risner said.

The Shred-A-Thon returned to the Area Agency on Aging 3 to help protect the community’s identity. At its Allentown Road location, dozens of cars drove through to drop off sensitive documents such as check stubs, medical forms and receipts containing names, addresses or Social Security numbers.

All that glitters is gold at the Delphos Senior Citizens Center as the organization celebrates 50 years of service to area residents.
