Ryan visited Henry’s Restaurant in Ottawa to voice his message to potential voters and share his vision on why he should be the Democratic representative to vie for the Senate seat when Rob Portman retires. He spoke about what he is currently working on in the House of Representatives, and how that affects the state of Ohio. He said he is not interested in culture wars and is running mainly on creating jobs, living wages, manufacturing, beating, and outcompeting China to rebuild the middle class. With the increasing number of Democrats joining the race, he talked to us about why he is the best candidate for the group.
Jane Timken appeared at Lima Harley-Davidson in order to connect with voters in the area. Also attending the event was South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem (R-SD). Noem stated that she came all the way to Lima in order to show her support of Timken, and shared why she thinks that Timken should be elected for the United States Senate.

Ohio Senator Rob Portman announced plans to step down from his seat in 2022 when his current term ends. Portman made the announcement earlier this year.
