WHITEHOUSE — Anthony Wayne used a strong defensive effort to pull away from Lima Senior in a 41-12 victory Friday night on Military Appreciation Night.
The Spartans struck first when Kaelan Law scooped up a loose ball after Roman Morrison’s fumble and returned it for a touchdown. But the Generals answered quickly, as Ja’naius Hall’s tipped pass was intercepted and returned for a pick-six to even the game.
From there, Anthony Wayne controlled the momentum, putting together scoring drives while its defense shut down the Spartans’ attack.
The Generals improved their standing in the Northern Lakes League with the non-conference win, while Lima Senior drops to 2-2 on the season.
