KENTON — Bath rebounded from its first loss of the season with a 48-6 rout of Kenton on Friday night.
The Wildcats got on the board early with a five-yard rushing touchdown from Mikey Hale, and quarterback Zach Welsch added a QB sneak later in the game to push the lead to 14-0.
Kenton responded with a touchdown pass from freshman QB Xavier Gammon to Maddox Hommel, cutting the deficit to 14-6. But Bath answered quickly, with Welsch finding Logan Markley in the end zone and Hale adding another score after consecutive sacks kept Kenton off balance.
Bath improves to 5-1 on the season, while Kenton falls to 2-3.
