BLUFFTON, Ohio (WLIO) — It was a clash of conferences Tuesday night as the Bluffton Pirates from the Northwest Conference squared off against the Elida Bulldogs of the Western Buckeye League.

The first set was tight throughout. Peyton Worcester rose up for a two-handed return to give Bluffton a late lead, but Elida answered back.

Abby Kristoff delivered a clutch kill as the Bulldogs claimed the opening frame 26–24. Bluffton responded in set two.

Karlie Lora fired in an ace to help the Pirates regain momentum, then Kendall Stackhouse kept the pressure on from the service line to secure the 25–18 win.

From there, both teams traded points behind strong serving. Elida’s Addy Sneary added an ace to push the Bulldogs in front, but the Pirates found just enough firepower to pull through.

When it was all said and done, Bluffton outlasted Elida in five sets, 3–2.
