Countdown to Kickoff: Leipsic embraces fresh faces, same philosophy
- Updated
LEIPSIC, Ohio (WLIO) — After departing from the Northwest Conference, the Leipsic Vikings finished 8-5 overall in 2024 and tied for fourth place in their return to the Blanchard Valley Conference.
Leipsic made it all the way to the regional semifinals before their season ended against the St. John’s Blue Jays.
One of the year’s biggest highlights came in the renewed McComb rivalry, where the Vikings pulled out a 30-27 victory.
This fall brings plenty of new faces to the roster, but 16th-year head coach Joe Kirkendall says the philosophy remains the same — regardless of who’s suiting up in purple and gold.
