ELIDA, Ohio (WLIO) — Bryan used a strong start and timely scoring to edge Elida 44-38 at the Elida Fieldhouse.

Elida struggled early, trailing by double digits after the first quarter. Lexie Good connected with Tahricia Smith for the Bulldogs’ first field goal of the game, but Bryan maintained the lead throughout the opening period.

The Bulldogs chipped away in the second quarter behind Shae Rager, who scored inside the paint and from the top of the key. Rager finished the first half with 11 points, keeping Elida within striking distance.

Under two minutes before halftime, Claire Dingledine found Good in transition for a layup, then followed it up with a floater through traffic to help narrow the gap.

Despite the Bulldogs’ late push, Bryan’s balanced offense held steady, allowing the Golden Bears to maintain their lead and secure the victory.

With the win, Bryan improves its record in league play, while Elida drops to 8-3 at home.
