BOWLING GREEN (WLIO) — Kalida staged a fourth-quarter comeback and outlasted Pettisville in double overtime, 49-47, in a Division VI regional semifinal at the Stroh Center.

Trailing 40-29 in the fourth quarter, the Wildcats rallied behind Gavin Leis, who hit a three-pointer and completed a three-point play to tie the game at 40. Later, Owen Grime came up with a steal and fast-break basket to send the game to overtime tied at 42.

After both teams scored five points in the first overtime, Grime delivered again in the second extra period, scoring with less than 10 seconds remaining to give Kalida the lead. Pettisville’s final shot missed, sealing the Wildcats’ victory.

Kalida advances to the regional championship game and will face the winner of Arlington and Montpelier.
